In my first meeting with Sarah, she was incredibly thorough, attentive, and respectful of my boundaries. While gathering information about my family history, medical history, and mental health history, she managed to make me feel comfortable and at ease enough to be as forthcoming as possible. The sessions really helped me learn how to make measurable, realistic goals in various aspects of my life. Some of my goals helped me navigate difficult conversations with family members, while others helped me learn how to properly read nutrition labels to ensure I can make informed decisions about the food I am putting into my body. What I loved most about this experience is that it was highly personalized to my life and intended goals--Sarah frequently checked in to make sure that the goals felt relevant to what we spoke about, and she always provided the space to be flexible if one of my goals needed to be tweaked or extended. I would highly recommend nurse coaching with Sarah to anyone who is ready to take even the smallest of steps to working on any portion of their life whether it be health, communication skills, exercise, mental health etc. The goal wasn't perfection, it was simply being willing to work on something and self-reflect. I can very much see this being effective for any age, especially since Sarah so specifically and intentionally tailors the experience to the person she is working with.

Prior to working with Sarah, I was experiencing a lack of sleep (I could only average 4 hours per night) and a severely cluttered mind due to a lack of structure and organization. Both of these negatively affected my relationships because I often missed or attended appointments late and would often make low-quality decisions. However, after working with Sarah for the past 2 months, she was able to help me develop structure in my life and a system of organizing my schedule. In addition, she helped me to find a connection with my feelings through mindful meditation and breathing practices. The payoff of each of these has resulted in significantly increased sleep (now able to sleep 7 hours on average), higher quality decisions, structure and order in my life, and a generally increased sense of peace and joy. I genuinely appreciate working with Sarah. She was always structured in terms of planning the As stated earlier, my sleep has improved significantly. I also feel more in control of my life and schedule. Lastly, I would say that my personal relationships have improved as well.

Working with Sarah was a transformative experience. I didn't know exactly what to expect from nurse coaching, but with each session she guided me through an approach to wellness that I can now apply to the rest of my life. As a registered nurse that works night shifts that is very active within church, and has a busy social life along with personal goals, I needed most help shifting my priorities and understanding why it seemed like I just never had enough time to achieve the things that I wanted to. Before starting with Sarah, I had a vague approach to addressing my stressors. I had several moving parts in my life dealing with work and relationships that began to feel very chaotic. Sarah was able to help me identify the areas of my life I can afford change in order to move forward with more joy. One valuable insight that I gained from Sarah was understanding my core values. After focusing on this for one session, I was able to point out which areas of my life and daily routine were aligned with my core values. I realized that I felt discontent when I wasn't giving time and attention to the things that were most important to me. This allowed me to create stronger boundaries with my time so that I was able to pour more time into the things that align with my core values. Sarah has incredible empathy and professionalism. I recommend her to anyone that can benefit from having an objective listener, compassionate insight, and/or tangible tools to move forward with a healthier lifestyle. Whether or not you are experiencing stressors, Sarah helps you feel empowered in creating positive change in any area of life. With all that I was experiencing, my greatest takeaways from working with Sarah were to be more diligent about my time and energy and to be honest with my capacity and desires, so that I can live a life that is honoring of who I truly am. Sarah helps you walk through the hard self-reflections so that you never feel alone in them!

I had the pleasure of working with Sarah as my nurse coach. Sarah is an amazing nurse coach and was able to create a comfortable space where I felt heard, understood and motivated. During our sessions, Sarah encouraged me to use meditation and mindfulness as a method to decrease stress. With a new full time position and a busy schedule, these sessions were exactly what I needed to stay present and to deal with one thing at a time. Her mindfulness exercises helped me to avoid feeling overwhelmed. Sarah projects a warm and open personality that encourages genuine connection. She is accepting and transparent in her interactions that encourages openness and allows her clients to feel safe in vulnerability. Working with Sarah, she had a very holistic approach and helped us to consider and assess where we are across numerous dimensions and to determine where we wanted to prioritize change. We both enjoyed the action items at the end of each session with specific goals aligned with our broader aspirations. We decreased our desert/sugar intake on a week to week basis. We both felt we were able to raise and address issues that were beneath the surface and also identify practical ways we could increase our connection by being aware and responsive to each other’s triggers around those issues. I worked with Sarah when I was transitioning jobs and under a lot of stress. The transition was a good opportunity to prioritize my health and quit smoking. I enjoyed working with Sarah who utilized CBT in her practice like grounding techniques and appreciate her patience in listening and nonjudgmental approach.

Working with Sarah over the past few months has been rewarding in unexpected ways. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical going into the first session that things would change - just knowing myself and my own levels of motivation! But I have been surprised, and proud of, what I've been able to accomplish in a short amount of time - with Sarah's support and guidance. Sarah started the first session really getting to know me holistically - work, family life, relationships, health habits, etc. This helped to prioritize the areas of focus over the course of the next few sessions where I could make incremental changes. She also started each meeting time with a few minutes of breathing and meditation, which also helped me feel grounded, focused, and intentional during our time together. During each session we discussed the small wins of the week, alongside any setbacks, which gave me perspective to look at the bigger picture and to celebrate the small moments of joy in the busyness of each week. This is something I was even able to share with family and friends to help bring perspective in challenging situations. In the few short weeks together, I was able to stay on track with running 2x/week, leading to my first 5K in Prospect Park in over 15 years. In addition, her prompting led me to get a refrigerator at work to increase my water consumption while decreasing my expenses on diet soda from the cafeteria. Sarah is an empathetic coach and listener and never made me feel guilty for not achieving some of my baby steps and helped me pivot to other goals instead. I really appreciated her gentle demeanor and non-judgmental approach to counseling. She would be a great person to work with in helping to set intentions with realistic steps to work towards, while providing accountability and partnership in the journey.

When I started working with Sarah I was struggling with self love. I had just come out of a period where my father was living with me and getting treatment for cancer. I was struggling to balance all of my obligations and responsibilities with self care and Sarah truly helped me to find space for myself. Working with Sarah helped me to find solutions to this and truly got me back into a space where I was able to prioritize myself. The changes she helped me to find truly helped me find more resiliency in a difficult period of my life and ultimately helped me to love myself more. Sarah was an amazing coach. When I started working with Sarah, I was experiencing a challenging season in my life. Since many of the times in life we can't control the things that are happening to us, I decided I needed to focus on the things that I could control. Two of those things were my mental health and prioritizing healthy eating. So, when Sarah offered her coaching services, I knew it was exactly what I needed to hold myself accountable. Sarah's gentle and judgment-free approach allowed me to be vulnerable and share the difficult season I was in. It allowed me to grieve the loss of my life's expectations. I really loved how we would start every session with a mindful practice and breathing exercise. This practice helped me be present in the moment and release what may have happened before I arrived at our meeting. She never rushed me to get to the agenda for the day – she cared for my well-being above all else. This really taught me how important it is to hold space like that for myself, and I now incorporate this practice into my life. I also learned how important asking the right questions are to get to the root of the problem. Sarah has a gift for listening intently and asking the right questions that get to the core of the issue. I am extremely grateful for our time together.

I had the pleasure of working with Sarah. I initially wanted to gain some clarity regarding my work and whether I was truly fulfilling my purpose as a healthcare provider. I needed help with job hunting and didn’t want to feel overwhelmed by the entire process. Luckily, Sarah served as an excellent nurse coach to help me refine my job search and set realistic goals to achieve. Overall, it has been an enlightening experience to work in collaboration with Sarah. What I valued most was that at the start of each session we would partake on a breathing exercise in order for us to be grounded. This brief, yet effective exercise allowed for me to be in the present moment and fully focus on all the work that lay ahead over the next 60 minutes. During the coaching sessions, Sarah would inquire about how I was feeling throughout the process and would then proceed to assist me with establishing goals for myself to tackle my job hunt and possible relocation. During my time with Sarah, I was able to revise my resume and also create a list of professional references that would be needed for these potential jobs. It has been such a delight to get so much done in the limited amount of time that I got to work with Sarah. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

"I learned how to better manage my time and to commit to engaging in healthy sleeping habits.  

Before I started talking with Sarah I was contemplating beginning to study again for the certification test . Through Sarah's coaching I was able to better manage my time and I ended up taking the practice test. I also began to change my habits during the night when I wake up and cannot go back to sleep. Overall I felt very accomplished that I was able to do those things. I learned how to better manage my time and to commit to engaging in healthy sleeping habits. I learned that I can still accomplish what I want to do. It will just take a lot more effort!!
